The attached picture was taken on top of Mt. Abbot
in Maine, which has, unfortunately, since been closed to
vehicles shortly after an article on the site appeared in FourWheeler
magazine. My truck is the 88" series and in front is a RRC that belongs
to Richard Chase. The two defenders and the 109" belong to my other
good friends.

Submitted by Christine J This has been my favorite picture from
2007. It was taken in August, outside and above Ouray, Colorado, along
the Engineer's Pass, off the Alpine Loop. Riding along the old mining
roads, we were able to look down at the San Juan mountains. We continued
up this route to about 14,500 feet.
We attended the 2007 National Land Rover Rally, sponsored by the
Solihull Society. The picture was taken from our 94 Disco I...the
pictured vehicle was one of the Solihull Society's volunteer leaders. I
don't remember his name...I think it was Jim Hall. |

Hardcore mountain man Fred takes charge of the situation and guides
Richard and Deb through a long marsh with an uncertain depth.
This is the stuff beer commercials are made of.

Son's first time fishing, with my 1967 diesel Series IIA just a few
hundred yards from my house in Vermont.
He caught three plastic fish using a magnet as bait.

Submitted by Adam B Adam took this picture on the Longitude
Expedition. Winching in front of the Taj Mahal... if I had a
dollar for every time this happened to me... sheesh.
Technically, this picture wasn't taken in 2007- but it was recently
released as the Expedition is being televised in the U.K.

This picture was taken 1-11-07. This is my 1993
Range Rover Classic SWB. This night started when my friend was on
some gas well roads in a two wheel drive Toyota truck (lights in the
background) and was stuck. It was just going to be a
short recovery and go back home when I saw this mud. I had to try
it! Needless to say I got swamped in this western pa mud. The
recovery wasn't bad, short and no major problems. The good news is
I made the hole without getting stuck on the way back through!!

Submitted by Katy This picture was taken in July 2007 at Shoe
Creek in Virginia. Steven Light was determined that the rock would not
beat him - and you can only appreciate the angle his truck, Molly, is at
if you turn the picture so the trees are vertical....! It was a fabulous
weekend out and the Jeep boys we met on the trail were cheering him on
to climb this - they were well impressed with the Rover!
